Thomas Volkerink (born 20 June 1999), better known by his stage name Massyyo, is a Dutch DJ and producer.

With his father Jan playing guitar and his mother Katinka playing piano, he developed an interest in music at an early age. His father often took him to sevelar hardrockconcerts. At that time Thomas was a huge fan of Metallica, AC/DC and Iron Maiden. Growing up with mainly rockmusic, he learned to play guitar and later took drum lessons at the age of 7 (so maybe that’s where his love for beats started). Meanwhile he became  more and more interested in electronic dance music.

A few years later at the age of 11 he assisted his dad, who was the DJ, as the Lightjockey in the Disco on the youth campsite Dennenoord in Ommen owned by his father. In the winter after that summer he wanted to learn all about DJing and practiced very hard in his room. The next summer Massyyo (age 12) was the DJ and Jan (age 47) the LJ and that turned out to be a great succes. But he wanted to make his own songs and therefore started producing that year, so he made his first tunes with Ableton on his laptop in that winter.

At the age of 14 he had his first real gigs at teenageparties at Lucky in Rijssen and in local clubs and pubs. The next year he played besides little clubs on bigger events like a kickboxgala, Club Update in Germany, Club Supreme in Arnhem and mainstage Lucky. He won the DJ contest for young talent in Dalfsen and therefore was the opening act on Vechtival Outdoor and had his first interview and livemix on the radioprogramme Clubstitute. In the summer of 2015 he was the resident DJ of Club Silva in Ommen.

His energetic and uplifting sets bring you an unique live experience during which you can’t stand still!

Currently working on his first releases there is much to expect from this youngster.
